Day 301

Yesterday we came camping. We tried again!! Left home around noon, arrived here around 3, and set up right away. Penelope & Daddy went for a swim straight after, had a good time-- P went in all the way in her floatie & LOVED it! We are turkey burgers for dinner, and then went on a nice long walk after, catching the sunset on the beach.... Gorgeous. We walked pretty far, and by 7, both girls were asleep. We stopped by our campsite, grabbed the s'mores stuff & headed over to our friends' site to eat & enjoy their fire. About 10 minutes in (and I'm being generous there) both girls were wailing, and seemingly ready for bed. We hightailed it outta there, and headed "home". So.... Sleeping. Yeah. :/ The girls were NOT having it, and they both wiggled, squirmed, cried, whined, talked, crawled, and everything else for at least an hour before they fell asleep. Both girls seemed to do all that until they were exhausted and just couldn't anymore. It was a long night. Both Thomas and I thought to ourselves "we are leaving tomorrow", and vocalized this at 5am when the girls woke up! :) Camping is a lot, and it seems just too much for us at this time. But we tried! Again. We are at the beach now, and ate enjoying ourselves, but we'll go home this evening. 

Sigh... Camping with babies is hard.
