Day 300

300 days old! She has grown so much in the last month or so, even now day to day, so many changes... It's great. :)

Today was probably the hottest day we've felt all summer. Not fun. :/ We were pretty much at home all day, too-- watching football (Daddy's idea), packing for camping, and relaxing. We made it out for groceries, but that's it. The girls didn't seem to mind the heat, so that's a good thing.

She hates being on her belly.... I wonder if that has anything to do with why she can't (won't?) crawl yet? :/ We are going to really make a point to work with her on that.... She'll be one in 65 days, after all!! 

She was so tired this evening, she kept whining... Daddy wanted her to nap, but it was already after 4, so we decided she should stay up. Well! She went and fell asleep on the diaper changing pad in the bathroom after her bath!!!

I usually wash her first, then take her out, get her all lotioned up & in her pjs and she'll play on her mat until I'm done with P. Today it was too long, I guess!! :) So cute, so sweet, what an angel! She ended up making it until bedtime-- 7pm! What a trooper! 

We are all exhausted from our day.... And we have more packing and a 2 1/2 - 3 hour drive ahead of us tomorrow. And camping!!! I'm nervous as I can be-- our last trip, we were so over it, we left after one night!!! We'll see how we do this time.

Day 299

66 days until our baby girl is one year old!! :) Wow. It has been a crazy ride, becoming a parent, and then having our second baby 13 months later... I think we are just now finding our footing, and are feeling as if we kind of have a clue! 

Today we visited Aunt Anita & Anabella (Uncle Matt was fixing his fishing boat) and we also got to visit with Daddy at work. Anita, Matt & Bells live so near Daddy's station (#5, right outside LAX) that we couldn't pass by there without stopping for hugs and kisses. :) While the girls were together today, they played and had a great time. It was a long day, lots of driving, but it afforded us gals some good naps (them girls, haha), some time to just sit and listen to my audiobook (driving = not running after the kids = yay), and we got to do some nice visiting. Great day! The girls were in bed by 7:20 tonight, they had to skip baths, but I think all that fun was worth it! We are looking forward to seeing Papa tomorrow morning, and preparing for camping day after tomorrow. Mama is pretty nervous about that.... Our last attempt was an epic fail. We'll see how it goes!!

Day 298

Hot day, and we begun in the sun! :/ We haven't been out walking in the morning all week, so we powered through an early breakfast & getting clothes on, snacks packed and made it out. Never easy to do, but we all were glad once we were there. We came home and Lulu went right down for her nap; P went down about an hour later, and that seems to be a good routine we can maybe try to stick with. It just means I have to keep Lu up an hour longer than she's used to. If she's real tired ever, I'll put her down earlier, no problem. It's really Mama who is craving a strict routine!! We'll all be sleeping  well soon enough. I'm really enjoying my babies while they're still babies, and this happens to be a part of it. (This is Nighttime Mommy speaking... Up At Crack Of Dawn Mommy may sing a different tune. :))

Day 297

Long long long day. Papa and I had appointments with the doctor, and mine was at 8:30, so I was up before everyone!! Never happens. I was out until noon, and the girls stayed home with Daddy & went on a walk to the beach!

They stopped and played at the playground...

And Daddy said that Lulu went down the slide (on his lap), and loved the teeter totter! Yay Lulu! And check out big girl P on the jungle gym there... She's serious about playing, loves to climb and jump and slide! Our little daredevil... Wonder who she gets that from? ;)

Later, when it was Daddy's turn for the doctor, us girls played at home & had an early dinner before heading out to see our friends and hear about their first days of school. :) We (and by we I mean me) are very nervous about handing off out our children to preschool. Mama is already freaking out, and P won't be in school until next fall. That gives me time to get used to the idea. :)

Once we were all home together again, we did bathtime, and all piled on the couch for Peppa... Here are Luciana and I:

What a big girl... Still not crawling, but she wants to. We aren't rushing her, by any means, she'll crawl when she's good and ready!

Day 296

We had a long day, and I didn't get any pics. :/

Here's a few things about our day worth mentioning:

1. We finally all got to hug Daddy-- he came home from work!

2. The girls are still on wacky nap schedules, and P fell asleep in the car twice! (Never happens, maybe she's telling us something....) :)

3. Luciana fell on her face 5 times today from trying to crawl away. She's trying, yay!!

Mama is so tired.... Goodnight.

Day 295

The girls and I had a good day-- we are getting used to our new naps schedule. :/ Still, we haven't gotten a consistent daily schedule, but we are getting used to that. Our biggest question mark is Penelope's nap-- it's just been all over the place. Some days she'll be wiped out by 11am, and days like today she wasn't ready for sleep until almost 2pm!!! Nuts, but we are doing what we have to, and enjoying our days despite the inconsistency. (Very tough for a Mama who thrives on routine!!!) 

Luciana is growing so much these days. She is so chubby! I just love squeezing her, my sweet baby girl.  :) As of now, she has two teeth (bottom center), and today I felt two bumps on top, new teeth coming in. :) The vampire teeth!! 

That is all for today. Just gave Lulu her binky again, she was crying. I think she'll sleep for a few hours again now... Goodnight.

Day 294

Happy Labor Day... Daddy was at work. :/. Mana, Holly & Lily came over & played with P while Mama & Lu ran a few errands. 

P & Lily swam....

And Lulu was an excellent lunch date...

(Gnawing away on her spoon at the Panera. She was a great errand buddy, chatting happily or napping, I love it! :)
