Day 271

Today we did lots: went to breakfast with our friends, the Bascons, had them over the house for a little visit, then Mama took the girls to the OC Fair. We picked up Mana & Lily too. :) When we got home, we had to rush through dinner & baths, and even managed to watch 10 minutes of Peppa! Today was a nonstop kind of day, but I think the girls had fun, and I did too, score!

At the fair, I pushed the girls in the double stroller, but after a while we let P walk: 

We just walked around, ate yummy things, saw some pretty art and enjoyed the sights and sounds of the fair-- I LOVE the fair!! Next year P will be old enough for rides, and Lu will be walking, yay!!! 

Girls are asleep, but we haven't heard a peep from Lu yet. Not holding my breath for a full night's sleep just yet. (Lulu, I love you baby girl, and when you wake up in the middle of the night, I'm still happy to see you! I am enjoying the last nights of our little cuddles, so don't think Mama is mad.)

Day 270

Yesterday we went to Zoomars petting zoo, which is in downtown San Juan Capistrano. We have been hearing about it since we moved in, and finally got to see how cool it is! :) We bought a small basket of veggies to feed the animals, and Penelope did a great job feeding them all by herself! Luciana enjoyed it very much also, seeing it all from the Ergo. 

We saw llamas, goats, sheep, alpacas, rabbits, horses, ginea pigs, cows, chickens, and a big silly looking ostrich! It was a fun time. Here is P feeding the whole farm-- Luciana saw all the animals too, she was really interested in them! 

Day 269

We had one more at-home day today, the girls played inside and out while Mama caught up on laundry. Thankfully it's cooled off, so it's nice in the house and we aren't itching to be out of it! :) Luciana has sort of taken a few steps back with her sleeping. She woke up 5(ish) times the last two nights, and incidentally, they are nights that Daddy was home. He thinks our routine is different when he's here, causing it, but I don't think so. I remember P back pedaling like that, too, but she got it eventually. "One day..." A phrase we use often-- One day I'll sleep again. I have to believe it's coming soon!!

No pics today, hopefully we'll have some from tomorrow. We plan on having an outing of some sort. Until then.... The house is quiet, and I'm going to take a peek into Stephen King's Dark Tower, The Gunslinger-- book one of a seven book series, me and Papa's favorite books. :) I'm retreading them, I think. Mama loves reading, and I'm just able to get back to it now, just a little.

Day 268

We girls let Papa rest today, and went out (after naps) for a bit-- but it was soo hot at the park. We came home and filled up our baby pool, and P jumped right in, I know Luciana is dying to run and play, she sees her sister doing so much and now she really watches. And tries to get away!!! I think she'll begin to crawl soon...necessity is the mother of invention.... Or however that saying goes! :)

Here's a pic of Lu after she woke from her morning nap. Penelope was still asleep, so Lulu played in our bed while we rested more.... We stuck her in a basket.

And here she is before dinner tonight... She was screaming and crying, couldn't wait for her food, so I gave her a baby biscuit.

Day 267

Finally Papa is home after four long days at work! We were so happy to see him. :) We ran errands all afternoon while the cleaning ladies got our house back into shape-- I have to say, it's a huge help to not have to worry about the deep cleaning anymore! Daddy had a few doctors appointments late afternoon, so us gals hung out and waited for him to come back. Now that he's home, he's staying for two weeks! We plan on exploring our "new" neighborhood and other places nearby, places we haven't had the chance to see.... FUN places. :) We can't wait!!

 Luciana is so much more of a big girl now, she is way more aware of her surroundings, is vocal with her happiness (or unhappiness, too) and is just enjoying our outings much more, so all these places will be exciting to see through her eyes, as well as P's. So much fun to make these girls smile, and trying to surprise them with fun things everyday, big and small. :)

Oh-- We bought Lu size 3 diapers at Costco today. P wears size 4! She's growing.... Fast. :) and :'(

Day 266

I took the girls to a place called We Play Loud, an awesome indoor playground in Lake Forest. It was so cool!! Penelope had a blast running and playing, but Lulu was in the Ergo so I could run after P, but when she was focused on something, I'd let Lu out, and she had lots of fun too! We can't wait to bring Daddy back there. :) We got home in time for a little relaxing (meaning we played outside, we don't really relax!!!) before I got dinner going, and there goes our day! We didn't go to see Papa, because he ended up having a drill right when we were going to be there. We'll see him tomorrow, and every day for two weeks! He's going to be begging to go back to work after a week, tops. ;)

Day 265

We are on day #3 without Papa, and we miss him. :/ He got an overtime day for tomorrow, so we are gonna go up to see him at his station. It's just been too long!! The girls have been good and don't gang up on me too much while it's just us, but it takes lots of activity to keep them happy!! 

(Lu is crying-- time for her once nightly nursing..... Ok, now she's back asleep :))

After bath time tonight, I was TIRED from all the running, chasing, picking up (and our girls are growing!!), and mealtimes alone.... It's a lot! But-- I unwind after an hour or two, and since the girls are sleeping so much better (really just Lu wasn't sleeping well), I get to really relax, I love it!
