Day 209

Luciana met her Grandfather Dan and Ann today for the very first time. :) 

They arrived around noon, Holly & Lily shortly after, and we all went to the San Juan Capistrano mission and out for lunch-- everyone was happy and well behaved and we had a great time! 

Later, Aunt Holly babysat while Mama & Daddy went out on a date (massages & sushi), and we hear the girls did well. Mama is still so nervous about being away from Lulu on our second wedding anniversary celebration, which is an overnight. We know they'll be in good hands, though, so I hope they are good girls and sleep all through the night!!! :/

Day 208

Last day of hard work for us around the house, I think. We have worked our buns off this last week (with much help), and are feeling great about it! It looks great, feels so much bigger, now that all the clutter is taken care of, and are happy with the end result. Sure, we still have work to do-- get a kitchen table (we are using an outdoors picnic table now), figure out our dining room, organize the office, and all the finishing touches upstairs, but we are at a place where we don't feel like we're living in chaos anymore. YAY!!!!! 

The girls woke early again, and we took them with us to our yearly physicals a our new doctors' office. Since they were up before the darn sun, they were miserable at the doctor. Long naps were had after we got home! 

Lulu and P went to the park with Daddy before afternoon naps, and then we did our regular evening routine: dinner, baths, and then all of us (when Papa is home, he joins) watch Peppa Pig on TV. Once that's over, it's bedtime! The girls are now going to sleep pretty much at the same time at night. Lulu wakes up throughout the night, but her longest stretches of sleep are at the start of the night, and right before morning. Mama will be so happy once she's sleeping a solid five hours! That's all I ask!! ;)

Day 207

Well, today was another busy day, and we just worked and worked on this house until we were beat. Best part, we aren't done yet!! We are very close to being fully finished, though. The girls woke up early again, so while P napped Lulu came with Mama to playgroup-- it was fun, but weird & we missed Penelope! Later on, Lulu took a LONG afternoon nap, and we continued on organizing. We have one more day left to clean before our weekend guests come, so we are going to knock it all out tomorrow! 

I forgot to post a pic from yesterday's bath-- Daddy helped us, so he had the camera and captured this pic, one of the cutest ever!!!!

The girls love having a bath together, and are loving that it happens every other day now. (P bathes daily, Lu-- every other day)

Mama is so tired.... Time to sleep. Until Lulu wakes again.... Soon. :/

Day 206

Yesterday was a busy busy day! We missed our playgroup & Mana and Aunt Holly came over to help us with the girls so that we could clean and get this house together! We worked and got lots done. The girls got to play, and when they were napping, we had lots of extra help. :) 

Since we have Papa home for the next 6 days, we are going to enjoy it, and the girls just love it!

Day 205

5:30 am is the new wake up call around here. :/ Penelope is always first, and then Lu. Today Lulu stayed asleep until around 6ish.... At least she gave me a little time to sneak in a few more z's while P was watching cartoons. :)

We had a good day today knowing we'll see Papa tomorrow! We all got outside in the yard for a bit today, as it was a gorgeous day! 

That's all for today.... This is one tired Mommy.... Long day.... Yaaaaaawn! Night.

Day 204

What a day. Why are my babies waking up at 5:30 every morning now?? :( It's really driving me up a wall-- by the time 10 am rolls around, we are all exhausted and ready to go back to sleep! Thing is, they get to, Mama has too much to do to nap! I'm hoping this trend stops verrrry soon. 

We had Mana over today helping watch the girls while Mama worked on cleaning up the house. We are about 80% of the way done with getting our place fully unpacked, decorations and photos all in place. I had to go to Home Goods today, and Lulu came with me; she was all eyes, just enjoying the ride! Such a cutie. 

Here is our baby in the Johnny Jumper tonight!

Day 203

Today began at 5:40 am. These girls are crazy!! :/ Penelope is usually awake first, and if I can get her into our bed quietly (gotta grab her mill & change her diaper first!) then I can put on Curious George and catch a few more winks. I usually need those winks too, as Lulu has me up multiple times at night again. :( I am not holding out on her nighttime feedings yet, because she's still only around 11 lbs., and I think she can use every feeding I can give her. In the meantime, we'll have to keep trying the rice cereal! She isn't liking it yet, so I'm trying not to rush it. 

After we were all up for the day and had breakfast, we hit a few local (and one not so local) yard sales. :) It was just way too hot to be walking, getting in and out of the car with both girls and a huge double stroller, and so we were kinda quick. Also, Miss Early Bird P needed an early nap! Luciana was a happy camper today, and was a peach for most of the day. She fusses for milk or a nap, and I can usy get her what she wants before she has a meltdown. :)

We found out tonight that Papa has to work tomorrow and won't be home. :'( We miss him, but are happy we'll be seeing Mana tomorrow. :) I hope the babies SLEEP IN!!!! And that means anything after 7am. Sheesh!
